Water, water EVERYWHERE!

Finally quit my Coke habit for like the ten-thousandth time.
I must have low self-esteem because I always take the good-for-nothin' back!

Now I have been focusing on upping my water intake.
I have made a little game out of making sure I drink enough.

It's kinda like those silly drinking games people post on Pinterest,
except without all the alcohol, camaraderie and drunk texting. It's a blast.

Daily Drinking Game Rules:

1.) If bored and reaching for a twinkie, drink a bottle of water instead.

2.) Before anything actually goes in my mouth, drink a bottle of water.

3.) Everytime I leave the house, grab a bottle of water.

4.) When I go pee, I reward myself with yet another bottle of water. Yay me!

5.) Before, during and after a run or workout. WATER, of course!!!

6.) Right before I go to bed and as soon as I wake up... I water myself like a frickin' plant!

Warning: Please don't substitute your favorite beer, wine or spirits in lieu of your water... I really don't recommend running errands or outside on the pavement while wasted.

See, this is so much fun. But let me tell you, it works! It is becoming a habit!
I am reaching for it without even thinking about it.

In other news, I lost 4 pounds last week.
Pretty sure it all came from my right boob, but I'm desperate and I'll take what I can get!

What tips and tricks do you use to make sure you are drinking enough?

Yes, I hibernate in the summer.

I had a lot going on this summer, it was hot, terribly hot as usual for Texas.
I vowed that this would be my last summer here, so we have been planning
a move back to my hometown of Chicago in Spring 2013.

I now have two of my four kids in school... it is liberating to say the least.
I can get soo much done with just two!!!

Needless to say I kind of took a break from my exercising and dieting regimen.
But, as you can tell... I'm ba-ack!!! More so with the exercising and just being
mindful of calorie intake, portion size etc. I am still going to use my Herbalife
supplements daily but only the shakes as a back-up.

I finally convinced my mom to do the couch to 5k with me and we just started this past week.
There is a Glow Run scheduled in November that we are going to sign up for. Figured one
in the dark would be great, so no one sees all my junk jiggling or worse yet my fat ass crawling across the finish line.

I had some issues with really bad soreness, but I think next week will be a lot better since I received some recovery tips and encouragement from an online friend who has been there, done that before.

It's going to be tough but I know it will be worth it!

My Body is Bipolar.

It's been awhile since I posted an update, but the reason is that I have been having so many ups and downs lately. I went almost three weeks without fast food or soda and for two days this past week I completely went crazy. Not that I shoved a bunch of Big Mac's in my mouth, but I couldn't resist the temptation. What a loser I felt like. :(

Then I started hurting, my joints were aching and my stomach hurt for two whole days I though I for sure had the Swine Flu. Then, I remembered what a dear friend had told me a few months ago, and drank tons of water and felt so much better this morning. I am really going to try to eat cleaner this coming week and see what that does, not only for my weight loss but for my energy and mood as well. I just need to get better about cooking more from scratch and keeping it lighter.

Do you have any amazing 'skinny' recipes? I need ones that the rest of the house will enjoy and not even know it's 'skinny'! ;)

In other news... I am down 4 lbs in the last two days!!! My body is so weird... the first week I didn't lose much of anything, but I dropped 15 pounds by the end of my second week. This past week the scale didn't budge! Now, 4 lbs in two days.... I want to hit another 15 pound loss than before my next Biggest Loser weigh-in on Tuesday!

My body is so bipolar. It also has it's own agenda, trying to teach me that whole patience is a virtue thing too. I will not complain though, Saturday will be 4 weeks since I started this and I have lost 19lbs so far!!! Makes me wonder where I would be if I hadn't totally screwed up about a weeks worth of eating.

The Plan.

I've had a lot of people asking me what I was doing as far as for weightloss and exercise. I knew in order to be successful I would have to have a plan even if I tweak it every now and then.  But, this is my current plan. I have added a few things from Herbalife and now am pretty much on their Ultimate Plan. I originally started on the Advanced which is a lot cheaper but I did add the extra can of shake-mix since I like variety!

Most days, when I sub my breakfast and lunch it is hard to really even eat a full meal at dinner, but I know I have to, I just need to get better about making that meal and those calories count.

As far as exercise goes, I am occasionally doing the 30 Day Shred and Couch to 5k. Religiously, I will be doing that Boot Camp class I signed up for yesterday (starts Friday) twice a week and then working with a trainer and throwing in some group classes.

I am trying to find my balance with my exercise now since it is hard for me to even eat my one meal a day, let alone any of the exercise calories back to stay around my net of 1000-1200!

Who would've thought?! Just a month ago, I was eating that many calories, if not more at each meal!!! That just makes me sick even to think about. GROSS.

Having this plan really is working for me, I think. Makes it easier. I am lazy and don't like to HAVE to think too much into it!

I am so tired of wishing I was thin again, pinning cute, sexy clothes on Pinterest, instead of out shopping and having fun in them! ;)

Biggest Loser

My local mom's board has their Biggest Loser competition starting tomorrow!!! Sooo excited!!! I've got this!! Right?!

Tonight while we were at the Y, I signed up for a Boot Camp class on Mondays and Fridays from 5:15-6... YES! AM!!!! I am SOOO crazy!!!! But, just like I wrote on my Facebook status tonight, I'd rather be HOT and crazy than fat and lazy!!! I need to trademark that asap.

I am on my third week of Herbalife and at my last weigh-in I had lost 15 lbs! BOOYAH! I am hoping for another 15 by mid-June. If I can average 15 lbs every two weeks, I will be in HEAVEN! (shopping for new clothes, of course!)

Tomorrow I am going to map out my diet/exercise plan and maybe if I'm feeling brave, some mini goals. I've had a lot of people ask me what exactly I am doing on Herbalife, and slowly I have added a few things, so a list is in order!
